Overview

Lee Stafford’s creative haircut for long hair, the Flip Chop is a soft and sellable look for the salon. Fundamentally a sexy layered haircut, it incorporates lots of disconnection, which gives it a really beautiful, snappy, contemporary swing. An interesting take on long layered hair.

Lee’s intermediate hairdressing tutorial demonstrates how to achieve the haircut using techniques including blunt, club, freehand and point cutting, disconnection, graduation, layering and triangular layering, pivoting, sectioning, using square lines, tapering, texturising and blow drying.

The finished result is a simple layered haircut with heavy disconnection and a heavy fringe, making this a real snappy modern classic, full of life and a fresh swing.

Along with the video, members can also download our step by step guide to the haircut.
