Sophie Dale's colouring technique creates a two tone tint which encompasses a pre-lightened panel through the top and a back to back slicing technique. She applies a Golden copper to the underneath with a classic tint application. She then pre lightens a triangular border which she later tones using four shades of dusty lavender, soft copper, pearl blonde and soft pink. Through a top triangular section she creates a flash of red gold blond which lays over her pre-lightened toned area and blends softly into the darker underneath base.

Sophie demonstrates an expert palette choice and colour placement, which enhances the fluidity of the haircut and facilitates a variety of styling possibilities. The final result has a rich copper base supporting flashes of pretty pastel interlocking, dusty shades, lightly veiled with a metallic shimmer.
