salon in Essex in 2010 as an apprentice and within just six months had won an opportunity to appear on 'This Morning' TV show, competing to be Jamie Stevens’ apprentice, where she had to cut, colour and style the hair of a variety of celebrities each week. Despite being the youngest in the competition, Romy was the runner up and her career has continued to blossom.
Romy has been a finalist in national competitions, including Regional finalist in Wella TrendVision 2014; three times Regional Finalist, Wella Exposure; Fellowship ClubStar Team finalist; Hair Council finalist. She continues to work in the salon and is often involved in photoshoots and platform work.
