Reflecting Colour

With Tracy Hayes
Duration32 minutes
Skill levelAdvanced

Tracy Hayes' advanced colour tutorial is inspired by James Turrell, an artist known for working with light and space. Tracy uses a red setter tone for her base against blonde and vibrant orange employing a rectangular shape to enhance the graduation of Stacey Broughton's haircut.

Tracy uses toner, quasi-permanent and permanent colour with techniques including block colour and colour placement sectioning, pre-lightening, and slicing.

The finished result is a gentle interplay between light and shade with soft blondes and a fashionable vibrant orange against a deep red - perfectly showcasing Stacey's steep, contoured graduation within the cut.
