Christiano Lanza’s colouring tutorial demonstrates a technique of overlapping tones. Christiano covers suitability, colour palette, brush strokes, back to back foiling and working with existing pre-lightened areas. 

The final result is three zones of overlapping colour gradients moving from darker, muted shades of fuschia, blue and violet through to more vibrant tones for a slimmer silhouette, which supports the expansion of texture.
