A hopscotch perm wind is used to create a variety of curls or a very textured permed result by winding the rods in different directions. The first layer of perm rods are wound leaving narrow sections between each rod. These narrow sections are wound in the opposite direction and stacked on top of the intial rods. Charmain Piche, a freelance technical educator and salon owner, teaches you how to wind this unique perm in our intermediate MHD perming tutorial. The final result is a multi-textured loopy finish to enhance the graduation and create movement.
