Established in September 2007, MyHairDressers.com’s (MHD) innovative and ground breaking projects have defined the manner in which hairdressing training is delivered via the Internet. MHD has pioneered online hairdressing training and is now recognised as the leading force behind this new medium, offering a unique platform to nurture and encourage the development of hairdressers around the world. Working with the latest technologies, MHD delivers weekly high quality step-by-step video tutorials allowing its international subscribers instant and unparalleled access to the previously expensive world of high end hairdressing training. Our world-wide reach has attracted international contributors from the United States, Australia, Germany, Italy, Austria, France, The Netherlands and Turkey. MHD has also worked with cultural icons and leading training establishments, including Vidal Sassoon, Guido Palau, Henry Holland, Barry Lategan and the London College of Fashion.
MHD works closely with International Licensees in 44 countries and 11 languages, producing translated tutorials in the local language to ensure the content is culturally appropriate. Working closely with government agencies such as UKTI enables us to produce accurate and up to date market research and ensure that the product is fully suited to the market. Our independence from manufacturers ensures regional sponsorship deals and advertising relationships can be built without affecting the integrity of the education or the contributors. Similarly we work with media partners appropriate to the territory to ensure maximum exposure and attract an ever increasing audience of industry professionals of all levels.
In April 2014, MHD entered into an exclusive agreement with the UK's leading awarding body City & Guilds to produce and distribute MHDAcademy.com in the UK to over 600 colleges and over 50,000 students in the UK. This unique resource is accurately mapped to lthe NVQ and VRQ curricula and is designed to address the Ofsted common inspection framework. This ongoing project will roll out to new territories throughout 2014 and 2015 bringing City & Guilds VRQ qualifications to a wider international market. Our goal is to save educators' time and improve students’ learning, understanding and grades by standardising and simplifying the way education is delivered.
