We’ve been in online hairdressing education for over a decade – which means we’ve had ample time to develop a nuanced understanding of just what it takes to help trainees succeed.

Every organisation has its own unique identity and philosophy when it comes to education. Colleges, academies and salon training programmes don’t want to be confined to rigid training pathways – you need to ensure that all learners get the training they need to help your organisation thrive. What’s more, everyone learns in their own way – and individuals excel when training is tailored to their interests and skills gaps.

Taking all of those considerations into account, we’ve made a few changes and updates here at MHD. For one, we retired MHDAcademy – our dedicated website to support formal teaching and learning – at the end of September. Instead, 105 additional videos are now available on MHD, bringing the total number of tutorials to a whopping 504.

The best learning experiences are always personalised to the student. This week, we’ve been on a mission to tell you more about our new subcategories, designed to help you find the tutorials you need to help students at your college or salon learn the skills they need to succeed. This December, we’re also launching our playlist technology – which makes it even easier to create individual learning pathways. We’ll be releasing more details shortly. Watch this space!
