Jules Chan - Contributor's Biography
From strong foundation beginnings at Vidal Sassoon where she trained under Tim Hartley and Stacey Broughton, Jules Chan has traveled extensively worldwide building more than 20 years experience as a hairdresser and instructor.
Jules moved from England to Asia to freelance and follow her passion in teaching, conducting seminars with Wella, Keune and Nexus. She also established solid relationships with MTV and other local TV stations. Her freelance flair came into play as she styled the hair for music videos as well as photo shoots for Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan. She also collaborated with HK Ballet and Opera productions, creating wigs for theatrical performances such as Swan Lake, Peter Pan, Cinderella and Turandot.
Skipping across the Pacific, Jules found herself in LA, where she began a career in Hollywood. Some of the highlights in her career were working with Chris Isaak, Take That, Maggie Cheung and one of world’s top photography icons Helmut Newton.
Currently Jules resides in San Francisco and co-owns Dekko Salon. Recently she started her own product line, JuJu Chan.
