News - Spring Shoot Day 10

Text and Images by Jamie Harrison // Published Friday 18 May 2012

The MyHairDressers.com video shoot concluded with a pair of barbering tutorials from City-Boy's Dale Ted Watkins. We get bombarded with requests for more men's haircuts, so we've responded with a couple of shapes that reflect Dale's passion for British tradition and street culture.

Dale brought model Peter from his recent Armed and Dangerous shoot with photographer Jamie Harrison for his first cut. His second model was MHD's very own Customer Services agent Charles Cooney, who's voice many of our subscribers would have heard when calling MHD HQ. Laura Fryer of Paul Knight's Hair Spa was once again on hand to assist Dale throughout the day.

Dale has recently joined our International Education Team and will be travelling and working with our Licensees to demonstrate the power of MyHairDressers.com to live audiences worldwide. Following his shoot, Dale was the keynote speaker for the British Barbers Association at the first National Student Competition in London's historic Barber Surgeons Hall.

Dale told us, "I had a great day again, and I'm so pleased to have been asked back. There have been so many people who have helped me and inspired me over the years, and being in a position to do the same to the next generation of young barbers and my peers in the men's hairdressing community is an absolute privilege."
