News - Verdict on MHD Latest Shoot

MHD Creative Director, Andrew Gilbert has spoken of his experiences at the new MyHairdresesrs.com studios, following his overseeing of the recent eight day shoot.

"It was a joy working with so many talented contributors in the new studios. Everything went so smoothly and I really appreciate all the amazing work and the time everyone put in. 


"I'd like to thank Louisa Inchenko for the hard work she put into the make-up and all the crew, they all did a fantastic job. The models, including Big Brother's Katia Ivanova, were awesome and have really helped us to set a new standard. 

"As for the hair, I'm looking forward to editing all the great tutorials we have coming up from Tim Hartley and Tracy Hayes (realhair), Richard Ashforth and Charmaine Piche (Saco), Bastian Casaretto and Bruno Elorrioroz (Aveda), Graham Oglesby and Tracey Sajno (Stockport College) and Dale Ted Watkins (City Boy). We filmed a real cross section of work from classic barbering to more contemporary hair that will work in any salon, with some really elegant soft shapes that are totally now. 

"The new studio space has been purpose built and we received very positive feedback from all the guests. Even though it's only 90% finished, the workflow was exceptional and once the salon area is finished, we'll be able to show even more in the videos, from the backwash to the chair, to the styling and finished shots - all simply moving within the space in a 360 degree environment. 

"I'm already planning the next shoot, with new faces and old friends (and some surprise guests) agreeing to join us for more great tutorials."
