In this salon creative colouring tutorial we welcome back Tracy Hayes of London’s realhair. Tracy compliments the graduation of Tim Hartley's geometrically contrasting shape by applying a gradient of colour from pale blonde, blonde, vivid gold and deep copper tones applied through inspirational sectioning and following the shorter lengths through to the longer dramatic fringe area.
 
The colour palette Tracy has employed perfectly complements the model’s cool skin tone and blue eyes, with warming but subtle natural shades applied using a back to back foil technique. Tracy begins her colours from the mid lengths to the ends and goes back to the roots later to avoid hot roots.
 
The result is a perfectly synchronized balance between haircut and colour featuring defined proportional drama.
 
This is the first time that Tim and Tracy have worked together for MyHairDressers.com, but they have enjoyed a long working relationship for many years, firstly at Vidal Sassoon and more recently as independent collaborators at hair shows and hairdressing seminars and events around the world.
