Release - Shaving

Sid Sottung's salon basic tutorial is a men's traditional wet shave. Sid begins by analysing the skin and facial hair texture and assessing the growth patterns. He applies a hot towel to lubricate the face, soften the hair cuticle and relax the muscles and the client. 

Sid then applies a facial scrub with the appropriate vigour and massage to exfoliate the skin for a smoother shave and to assist in eliminating in-grown hair. He applies his shaving lather using a combination of circular and stroking motions to remove debris and to assist the hair to stand up away from the skin. Sid explains the five major areas to consider on each side of the face that are affected by growth patterns. He also demonstrates the safe and correct method to use a straight razor including cutting angles and handling.

The result is a traditional wet shave service to groom and relax your client.
