News - MHD Contributors Summit

Text and Images by Jamie Harrison // Published Thursday 4 April 2011

A select group of the MyHairDressers.com contributors convened at the MHD studios to discuss an exciting new venture to bring their educational skills directly to our International Licensees and subscribers around the world. The summit was held to begin planning a series of 'See-Do' presentations for educators and trainers to learn how best to use the website in a teaching environment and within CPD.

GCC License holder and MHD contributor Steve Turner kicked the day off with a demonstration of the unique 'See-Do' technique with hairdressing students perfectly mastering Stacey Broughton's Head Block Basic Graduated Bob techniques. Following Steve's tutorial, the contributors, including Stacey Broughton, Mazella & Palmer, Charmaine Piche, Roy Hayward, Dale Ted Watkins, Louise Reeves and newcomer Jazz Fosker began planning the range of courses to be available to Licensees later this year, with the first planned in the Middle East.

The contributors will be travelling across the globe to present to educators, as well as subscribers, demonstrating in person the haircuts, colours and dressing techniques from the website in an easy to follow and standardised format to ensure every attendee gains the maximum benefit from the course.

Mark Butcher, CEO of MyHairdressers Ltd, told us, "This is the next step in the evolution of MyHairDressers.com, bringing the best education to the world, not just online, but in person as well. As we expand rapidly into new international territories with translated content and develop mapped content for college education, we can now demonstrate live how our education system can be used to quickly teach students and hairdressers to master the skills in an easy to follow format.

"This week's summit was a resounding success and extremely positive, with all the contributors involved providing great ideas and positive feedback. I want to thank them all and let them know how much I value their encouragement and enthusiasm for this project."
