Mazella & Palmer’s salon creative tutorial uses a combination of layering, graduation and disconnection to create a short bespoke graduated shape.

This shape begins in the back with a central vertical section to achieve a flatter graduated shape and is the guideline for the internal shape in the back and side areas. It continues with pivoting sections from his centre working towards a more horizontal plane employing the same elevation and cutting angle working into the sides.

Then, Jean Baptiste works a layered disconnected section with a central section on the crown pulling  the hair out at 90 degrees to the head and cuts a straight line and continues with parallel sections to front hairline.

On the top section he works with a vertical section from the crown to the front slightly on the left hand side. He uses elevation  and over-direction and angles his fingers from shorter to longer to achieve a multiplex of shapes that integrate perfectly to reduce weight and release texture and movement for a faultlessly couture ensemble.
