We are honoured to introduce Bastian Casaretto to our growing list of contributors in the first of four new video releases - concave layered long bob.
 
Bastian is Aveda’s Artistic Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and flew in from Berlin to film over two days in October at the MyHairdressers.com studios before heading off to Pairs where he supported the launch of Aveda’s product range in France at Mondial Coiffure Beauté.
 
In this salon classic haircut, Bastian works with six simple sections to break down this commercial and adaptable shape. He first layers the interior fringe and outline section in the front to establish his balance and frame the face. This instantly gives a visual guide for the concave layering in the nape sections where over-direction is key. Finally he adds a layered interior in the crown sections for a playful loose, light, layered interior.
 
The final result is a salon friendly but moveable and loose shape, playful and effortless with bohemian over-tones.
