News - House of Holland AW11 Show Report

Text / Images by Jamie Harrison // Published Tuesday 22 February 2011

Following on from our previous report from backstage at House Of Holland’s AW11 show, we’ve now posted the images from the catwalk show itself.

BaByliss PRO has partnered with the label, with lead stylist Adam Reed of Percy and Reed setting the standard in the hair. With a starting base of High Ponytails with root lift and, using extensions when necessary, Adam added soft loose curls using BaByliss PRO’s Conical Wand. The relaxed and loose hair went perfectly with the clothes – doing what great hair should do – make the girls look great but don’t distract from the clothes.

As for the clothes, we loved the very British and typical Henry Holland humour. With inspiration from his Grandma and Bingo, the show melded seventies crochet kitsch, country house twin sets and pearls with geek chic and glamour. I sensed a technicolor Hitchcock vibe from the tweeds and vibrant warm reds and oranges. A heady mix of disparate elements that merged to create something cheeky, sexy, fun and downright wearable!

MyHairDressers.com would like to lend our thanks to BaByliss Pro for access to the backstage and front stage area, and for the courtesy offered by Henry Holland, Adam Reed and his team.
